The Bicentennial History of the United States USA Ingots (Franklin Mint, 1975)
This set was issued in both a pewter and a sterling silver edition. The pewter version has little if any value. Complete set of 100 ingots. This collection is an officially recognized commemorative of the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, which was established by an Act of Congress to coordinate the programs and events of the Bicentennial celebration. A board of distinguished historians was assembled to select the 100 great events to be commemorated. The face of each ingot portrays the event commemorated. The reverse bears the official symbol of the 200th anniversary of the United States, the title and issue number. Each ingot measures 2.1" x 1.4". The set was issued from 1975-1983.
