9" diameter. Depicts a cameo-like relief of mother and child. The 1977 Mother's Day Plate is the first Mother's Day Plate ever issued by the Franklin Porcelain division for the Franklin Mint. The plate bears an original work of art that speaks eloquently both of a mother's devotion to her child and of the love that child gives in return. Created by the distinguished artist Adelaide Sundin, the work was crafted-almost entirely by hand-in fine Parian Porcelain, a medium that lends itself particularly well to porcelain sculpture.
